Was just watching CSI and saw they use some sort of TiBook in the lab though they put some sticker over the glowing apple.
Wonder how Macs get in films and tv so much? Is SJ hanging in Hollywood or is it just film and arts industry use them more and have them handy?

funny you posted, cause I noticed the sticker over the apple too. I have tivo so dont know when it aired but I know what your talkinga bout, all the computers in CSI are macs, look for the imac's next time you watch.

I to have noticed there are alot of macs in movies and shows, I bet apple placeses them there for the most part, althought that would not explain wht the tibook had paper on the apple.

They are used simply because they look high-tech and stylish. The Apple logo is covered because they don't want to advertise any brand without receiving money.

I was watching the other day, and they switched from an external shot of a TiBook, to a 4:3 Windows screen closeup, followed by an instant, full-page photo print popping out of the printer.

24 uses Apple computers shamelessly -- logo hanging out and all. they're all over the place, but, for the most part, only the good guys use them. all of the bad guys use Dells, which i found funny

there is also some story on Apple's site about how the set designer for 24 uses an iBook on the job, which might be the reason for all of the ones used in the show

Friends use an ti-book as well, saw it in two of their episodes, one at the coffee house where ross is playing some video game (allied assault?) and another time where ross is posting a message on his alumni board. The apple logos are covered up as well. Why is this? I mean in that same episode, Chandler uses a compaq laptop but you don't see their logos being covered up.
Lex Luthor in Smallville uses a tibook as well. How kick ass is that, for a guy who is used to driving ferrari and porsche! Now that shows how much style macs have

24 generally shows off all sorts of hip technology... Although this season they've been trying to disprove the whole good guy-bad guy Mac - PC thing. Shady charachters use Macs too... and even the good guy CTU agents use Tablet PCs...

Oh... and last week one of the charachters uses the new Nokia camera phone.. 3650.. Twas cool.

PowerBooks are all over the place. Sex and the City has often featured apple portables, once even as the base of an episode's storyline! Six Feet Under has featured the TiBook too.

Sydney Bristow works on a TiBook either...
