wondering if i buy the 17" pb from apple store online ( do you recommend??) will it really arrive in 3-5 days like it says, anyone ordered from there, have you recieved it?? thanks

I'm not positive, but unless I was using the ADC Discount, there's no way I'd order from Apple.com. All Mac resellers have them in stock like www.macwarehouse.com, www.macmall.com, www.macconnection.com, etc. and some offer bundle deals PLUS you'll save a ton by avoiding sales tax which you'll pay at Apple.com. I'd highly recommend ordering from an online reseller.

It wouldn't arrive in 3-5 days, it would ship in 3-5 days. That means if you were to order today, 3-5 days from now Apple would load it on the truck to be sent to you. How long it takes after that would depend on the shipping you chose and where you live.
