Since you apparently have no desire to use it, please PM me. I will give you my address. I will use it and I will keep a journal for you to read about the pleasure I get from using it.

Sell the 17" and keep the box.
Hmmmm...I wonder what's really in that box? Could the 17" LCD be peppered with dead pixels? Maybe the Superdrive is a Superdead burner in need of repair. Perhaps a chocolate bar sandwiched under the LCD. Could be one of the packing workers from Taiwan replaced your 17" with a couple of house bricks and took your laptop home with him.

Congrats on your new machine!
Man, I *LOVE* the first 24 hours with a new Mac. Love installing all my apps again, moving all the important files over and dumping all the rest. Everything's so organized and uncluttered and lean and fast. No wonder I've been buying every rev of the Powerbook lately.
Enjoy....

Thanks k2director, i'm also having fun, setting up a lean install. I'm still keeping my old iBook as a backup for now, but i'm a little annoyed I can't run Entourage on both of my apples at once, seems I will have to use Mail on one and Entourage on the other - I thought you can use it on 2 machinese at home on an airport network - its really annoying.

When my 15" SD finally arrived Friday afternoon at 3 after a month of waiting, I only had an hour with which to play with my new baby before getting ready for Prom! So traumatic! I was able to return to it at the end of the weekend, it was a nice feeling

Actually, I can understand your last sentiment. I felt the same way when my 17-inch finally arrived.
After working as a poor English/Japanese teacher for 7 1/2 years since graduating from college, it became the first computer I ever purchased for myself (although I ran into some serious credit card debt and became ill from skipping too many meals to save money immediately afterwards ).
I still can't believe that it's there. Now I can finally test all those Java and Scheme programs I used to dream of writing for so many years after graduating as a computer science major, finally getting a stable systems engineering job, and then getting laid off after 9/11.
