Is it possible to extend the one year warranty to three years after the pb has already been purchased?? For instance I buy the 1 year protection but later(3 to 11 months later) decide it would be better to have the 3 year warranty, can i just purchase it or is it not possible?? Sorry if this has already been asked but Icouldn't find it.

you can buy it, but the 3 year starts from the date of purchase of the laptop, not the date of purchase of the warranty.

If you have registered your PowerBook, but have not purchased the extended AppleCare, I bet you will get a reminder from Apple at the 11 month point asking if you want to purchase the additional two year protection.

It applies regardless where you purchase the new, so long as it's a brand new, unregistered machine.
