I have a friend who's pretty new to Macs and she has damaged her AC adapter...

She tripped over the wire and the iBook was dragged to the floor with it. The iBook is pretty ok, but the adapter isn't.

The pin is damaged and crooked and it will not fit into the iBook.

She went to AppleCare and they said they will not replace it for her because she damaged it. <-- the iBook is still under its 1 year warranty

Please advise?
Thanks.

She can get used to paying for it now, or she can get used to paying for it later. Eventually she's going to cause harm to whatever she owns, it sounds like. Sad, but true. If she wants a laptop she's going to kick around on a daily basis, I'd look into some AlienWare stuff.
