Just picked up myself a Ti 667 Dvi and want to get an airport card and base station.

What's with these new airport extreme cards and base stations, i know they are faster but can i use an extreme base station with my Ti? What airport card do i need (the older one?)

The older PowerBooks are only compatible with the 802.11b-based AirPort cards. You will not see any benefit to having an AirPort Extreme access point unless you use it with devices that support 802.11g. That said, Apple AirPort products are extremely expensive expensive. If you want to save money, you could get an Apple AirPort card for your PowerBook and a third-party access point.
