You know...I'm a good guy. And I'm patient. But for those of you (and you know who you are) who insist on "blessing" us with your 'why pcs or macs are better because they are faster or they are prettier or they are' .... AAAAHHHHGGGGUUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!! STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT!!!! PLEASE please please stop it already. We've all heard it time and time and time and time and time again. It's old and you contribute less than nothing. Really. And for those you really don't know, feel free to google the topic, for it has gridlocked the internet for the past 15 odd years. It's so tired.

And it's as interesting and as informative as reading this...

Whew. I just had to get this off my chest. Please continue your PC vs. Mac drivel, by all means.

Ack ack ack.

Anyway I disagree, I think the discussions here lately have been pretty civil. And I think it's interesting to thoughtfully compare offerings for both platforms and compare what people are looking for. Everyone who posts here has at least some interest in Mac OS X, and very few are outright bashing Macs. There may be a few bad apples (rimshot) but overall I think the discussions are interesting. They're fairly easy threads to identify, so you can feel free to skip them if you're not interested. Just the same way as I skip 10 page rants about Apple's customer service refusing to fix such-and-such in someone's brand new, untouched, virgin PowerBook 17" that they've never touched without gloves and carry on a silver pillow.

You can freely skip over topics you don't like. Noone forces you to read them.

I enjoy the posts that go, "Does it run OS X? If not, I don't care what it is." Or something similar to that.

That's how I feel. If it don't run OS X, I don't want it and couldn't care less about it.

While some of you don't like my agnostic attitude regarding platforms, I think I'm pretty objective with my commentary. Most of you know I think Centrino is a great thing for notebook consumers in general, but it doesn't mean the Apple platform lost all of its strengths in the wash.

Preach on!

I'm a multi-platform user (PC, Mac, Sparc) and these threads even manage to annoy me, mostly because they're based in some sort of fictional reality.

I know I can skip these these threads, but they're about as on topic as a post about BMWs on a Porsche forum.
