* You want to save a file
* A dialogue box has come up offering you various options
* One of those options is "Save File As..."
* Select it

Is there a way that I can bypass this part. Like when I hit the right button on the mouse on a jpg file it reconizes it and doesn't give me this error message. Is there a way to have that happen with zip files?

It's not too hard really. Simply right click it instead of left clicking, OR, on that error message, select the Save As option.

I am right clicking. I am wondering is there a way to setup my pb to reconize the zip file when I try to save it so I don't get an error message.

There are 2 ways to do this. In IE, select preferences then "file helpers" select extension, type a "z" look for "zip" click change in the box, under application browse and select stuffit expander, in file type, type "ZIP" in file creator type "SITx". Under handling choose post process with application and again browse to stuffit expander.
The other choice is to use Safari and it will do it for you.

Safari is Apple's browser. You can download it at www.apple.com/safari

Just make sure in safari's preferences you click general and then check " open safe files after downloading"

Make sure you have something like Stuffit Expander installed. It will automatically unzip files when they are downloaded.

Also, Safari is still beta. While it works 99.9% of the time (at least for me) there are some sites that will still ask for IE. So don't ditch it just yet.

Best of luck.
