Some users seem to be attaching nicknames to their PowerBooks.

For example, mgehman on the thread "Topic: Problems with my brand new 17" called his 17-inch PowerBook "BigAl."

Any preferences for nicknames for the 12-inch PowerBook? Let's take a poll.

I only use it tongue in cheek, for amusement value. Obviously we don't share the same sense of humour.

My 12" little beast is called GeorgeBook.

It has some history. My desktop PowerMac G4 (a 400 Mhz sawtooth) was in fact my fourth Mac, and my name in English is George. So my PowerMac is called GeorgeFour, or simply G4

When I recently bought the PowerBook G4 12", well, it just have to be called GeorgeBook

I don't quite see why "Stevie Wonder" reminds you of Steve Jobs. To me, it rings of a famous singer.

Also, it's not really the same. Bill Gates doesn't manufacture laptops; he just makes the OS. But every Mac these days is ultimately rolled out by Steve Jobs. He is an icon for Mac's; the green $-Bill isn't for Wintel laptops; besides, it would be silly naming a laptop just for the OS.

I was trying to be tongue-in-cheek. You probably have a different sense of humor.

Yeah, YaoBook is what we've been calling the 12-inchers. Of course, we 17-inch owners also refer to them as "Shorty".
