12.1" AirPort Extreme Ready ?

Apple says the 12.1 " is "AirPort Extreme Ready".Does this mean I can insert a Apple Airport Card (WiFi / 802.11b) into this powerbook ? This powerbook doesn't come with any wireless card by default right ?This is the card im considering buying ...

No you need an extreme card, not a standard Airport card. They are not cross compatible in mounting or slots.

What protocol is "Extreme" ? 802.11g ?
The protocols both use the same frequency (2.4GHz). The "g" protocol just allows faster throughput. They are both compatible with 802.11b, but only the "g" allows the higher thoughput rate. Hope this helps.

What the others have said is correct. It will only work with the Airport Extreme card... you cannot use the old Airport cards, as it won't fit.

If you go to http://www.apple.com/airport you will see a picture of what the Aiport Extreme card looks like, it's to the right of the Airport Extreme base station.
