I recently short circuited an electrical thingie that happened to be plugged in the same power outlet as my iBook.. After that the ibook wouldn´t start up at all, but after a while it started and some sctachy sounds came out of the speakers, but the screen remained black!
Now when i turn it on it seems perfectly normal.. it boots up and i can log onto it from other computers if i connect it to a network! but the screen is dead. i´ve tried to look at it using external ligts because i know that it is possible to see the pixels even if the back light is off, but it seem as if there is no action at all in there..
One other thing is that the computer seem to get hotter than in used to.. i don´t like this!
I´ve tried other powercables, other batteries, just batteries, no battery but nothing helps. i´ve zapped the pram, looked inside if i could see any damage.. but nothing seems to be damaged.. what can it be!??

Sounds like you may have fried something in there. Time to take it into the shop!

Your logic board is dead. Take it into the Apple Store for repair. If it's out of warranty, it'll be a flat rate of $280.
