When I start up my PB, I'm using about 130 MB of RAM out of 1 GIG. I'm curious as to how much RAM you using just after your PB starts up? And what PB are you on?

Be aware that the number you get means almost nothing, compared to how it was used in OS 9. It's dynamic, and when you have a bunch of apps open it climbs to almost 100%, because it can let things go at will.

Maybe, but there are many times that I will be running for some time and quit everything and still show that over 600MB is being used. It is not letting go at will. That or more likely, I have some .apps with some serious memory leak issues. I think Java 1.4.1 is a culprit, but I'm not sure how to check. I'd be nice to have a RAM First Aid that acted like Disk First Aid that just compressed all the RAM that the sys needed at the moment and let everything else go completely.
