Hey I know the 12 inch PB comes with 128 megs on the mobo and another in a slot, and I know right now you can add a 512 to bring it to 640 megs of RAM, but I'm curious I know that when my iMac, Rev D, was made 128 was the biggest RAM got, and it actually can't acess more than 128 megs of one of the 256 meg chips I put in it. Which is OK I use OS 9 so it's not like I max out my RAM often, but I'm just wondering.
When 1 gig RAM chips or whatever's next come out, do you think the 12 incher would be able to go past a gig with that? I'm just worried that in three years 640 megs of RAM might be like the minimum requirement for running OS X and I'll be stuck with a really expencive (I'm Canadian and going to college you 17 inch users leave me alone ) machine that isn't terribly upgradable.

Granted so long as I can afford it I'll get it anyway, simply because the iBook has the same limitation and the 12 inch PB has more of the features I'd like.

So uhh yeah think 640 is a limit that will never leave or will go away when higher density ram chips are avalible?
