are there any pointed optimizations out there i could do to squeeze every last bit of speed out of my 800?

i was just in the PB forum (which gave me the idea for this post) and read that someone did a dedicated swap partition and buffer compression to their old iBook what are these and wat would they do to my performance?

help appreciated
