I'm having problems with my internal mic (possibly) and my speakers. There is constantly some sort of feedback noise going on. I've gone into System Preferences and checked the input AND output volumes of the internal mic and nothing seems to work.

When I touch the mic, the feedback gets higher and the closer the mic gets to the speakers, the more it feeds back.

Is this definitely a hardware issue? Is there a way for me to temporarily remove the internal mic capabilities since I don't really need it?
