Just saw the above, and they also ship internationally, and I am very interested...

Any one have one, and could give some info on how they find it...

I already have a Tucano Sleeve I use for protection at the moment... Would the Powerbook, with the Tucano sleeve on fit inssde the Power sleeve for extra protection?

Cheers,

Marc

I own the powersleve 12. It is nice, but very small. It can hold the powerbook 12 only and a couple of sheets of paper. In the front pocket you can hold a set of small headphones. In the back pocket which runs the length of the jacket...i put my power cord and adapter...which does not fit very well.

Also, due to the size, it kind of looks like a purse....but who cares...it is the lightest bag you can get for your laptop.

It has enough foam padding to protect the laptop from a good smack.

I bought a powersleeve 12 and it is a very small bag. Cool for carrying a round a charged powerbook to and from small places, but count on needing an extra bag if you have other accessories. It is also very well padded, so it does make a great storage bag...

I'll echo the other PowerSleeve12 owners' comments. The bag bulges quite a lot with the power adapter in the back pocket (it will not fit in the front flap pocket, no matter what Booq says on their web site), but it's really not unsightly to look at nor unwieldy to carry that way. I also keep a USB cable, a CD jewel case, and a FlyLight in the back pocket. In the front flap pocket I store the two-pronged adapter for the power adapter when I'm at home (it's attached to the power adapter on the road; I can't fit the grounded power cord in the bag with everything else), a Microtech SmartMedia ZiO!, and a couple of other very small (easily lost) items. The shoulder strap could really use some padding, but it wasn't a deal breaker for me.

I like the flap design vs. a zippered design because it helps prevent against moisture and hairballs (I am owned by 3 cats). The sideways design also lets me charge the PB in the sleeve with the flap loosely draped over the opening (the power plug prevents the bag from closing tightly) to prevent against the aforementioned environmental hazards.

The 15" variant of the Power Sleeve is mighty tempting. It caught my eye a few days ago. This Monday I bought a Brenthaven Mobility Backpack for my 15" Ti, and like it so far, but I wouldn't mind a sleeve for extra protection in there, and for quick trips that I don't need to bring anything with but my laptop... would this fit into the Brenthaven Mobility Backpack? And even if so, would it be overkill to have this bag as well?

Hi Marc

I bought the PowerSleeve17 but returned it and got the WaterField Designs SleeveCase at www.sfbags.com.

It's a nice sleeve but the strap is really too thin. I also like the design of the WaterField better.

I don't think your PB with Tucano sleeve will fit into the PowerSleeve. Both are rather tight sleeves. You might want to get a messenger-type bag for your Tucano, see on www.sfbags.com or www.timbuk2.com.

How is the protection of the Tucano?

The SFdesign case looks cool... much more protection too... I am getting tempted!

The Tucano case has literally NO padding at all. It is just a (thin) neoprene sleeve. I use a messanger bag now to carry the PB, along with some files and Law books, but I am still paranoid about the laptop as the protection is minimal. it could easily get dented through the sleeve.

I think it is designed to stop scratches, because it is useless for anything else!

Hmmm, decision, decisions!

(Cheers for imput everyone!)

I really recommend the Waterfield Designs Sleeve Case. It's very well made and has nothing attached or sewn on that would scratch your Powerbook. They have an offer called the 'Suite Spot' in which you can by a bag, sleeve, and gear pouch, at a discount.

I own the Cargo Bag, Sleeve Case, Large Gear Pouch, Small Gear Pouch, Camera Case, iPod Case, and a wallet.

You will be impressed by Gary and his personal service with each order.

I have the Powersleeve 17 and am very happy with it. I mostly use it for carrying my PB to and from work. The flap is big enough for the power adapter, and the back pocket is great for papers and whatnot. I never really use the strap, but it is a little thin. My only complaint is that, even though the strap is removable, removing it is very difficult since the buckles are sort of between two layers of nylon.
