Im not sure if anyone can answer this, but what theheck. Does anyone know if Apple intends to keep the current prices for the 12" Powerbook, even after it's next hardware update? I'm really waiting for the next revision, but if the baseline 12" goes back up to $1799, then I'd probably have to pass.
Who knows? Lately, Apple hasn't raised prices when doing updates (the exception I can see to this is the single 1ghz Powermac that replaced the dual-867, I could see considering that being a loss.) But, it has happened in the past.
When the 667/800DVI PowerBooks replaced the previous 550/667 models, the prices went up $300 and $200, respectively. (Prices dropped when the 867/1000 line was introduced.)
