I've had one for a couple of months that I use with my 12" PowerBook and I would highly recommend it. It has a very sturdy feel to it and insulates my bare legs against the PB's heat quite well.

Will it help a lot. How much did you pay for yours. It is a nice peace for the powerbook. I don't want to scratch the bottom of it when I get it.

I have one IcePad and it is excellent.

Do not worry about scratching your PB, as the IcePad have some kind of rubber that protect and stick tight the machine when in place.

What Im sayin is with the icepad it will prevent it from scratching. Does it really help with the heat?

It seems to. I have my 12" PB on the IcePad in my lap right now. It's in the process of encoding some video in iDVD and it has heated up to the point where the fan is on. The palm rest is pretty warm but I can rest my hand on it indefinitely without getting burned. I can just barely feel some heat radiating through it onto my bare legs.

Are there any other heat things to help or is the icepad the only thing. How much did you pay?

The IcePad is the only "heat thing" I'm using. I paid just a hair over $30 delivered.
