Part of my response is wishful thinking that prices will drop as I need a new powerbook. I cant see them raising prices above the starting prices. I can see the 1.25 GHz 17" at 3299 and 1 GHZ at 3099. 1.25 GHz 15" at 2799 and 1 GHz 15" @ 2599. But to demand higher that 3299 for a 1.25 GHz machine is suicide, especially when the processor is not new, the motherboard is not new, the enclosure is no longer new... People arent stupid and will ask why the high margin. As much as I'd like to see the 970 in the new PB line I dont think that will happen till the next rev bump. People who jumped on the 17" will have a melt down if their machines become totally "obselete" within 6 months. People will swallow the speed bump, the possible price drop for the 1 GHZ, the increased HD..., but they will freak at feeling like their baby just got labled special ed.

Thanks for voting...

The price cur is REALLY important for me, so by this it looks better if I buy the 12" before the update, because it does what i want?

What do you think?

I think MonkeyPox will run rampant and destroy 99% of the world population. Apple will be late with it's new computers and the 2 Mac users left in the world will complain about it.

You left off one option. A bumped G4 at the same price. This is what I think is most likely. I think you might as well wait since WWDC is only a couple weeks away now. If, by chance, there is a price bump resellers will still have the older modles available at the current price point for at least a couple more weeks. Your best bet might be, watch for the WWDC announcements, then place your order that same day.

Good call. I would have chosen this option too. Or maybe an "Other".

I also agree about waiting... the older models will be the same price or reduced, so just wait the two weeks until after WWDC.
