I just performed the HD upgrade mod, taking my iBook 500 to 40 gigs with a new Hitachi Drive. It runs great.

Except that during the disassembling process, I broke off one of the ends on the keydoard connector. The ribbon cable is fine, as is the connector on the board, but the small piece that snaps down into it doesn't clip down anymore, so the keyboard doesn't work.

I fixed it temporarily by tapng a small piece of plastic on top, so when the metal cover is screwed down it presses the connection enough to allow the keyboard to work. But what I am wondering is where I can get a piece like that? Is there a Mac part place that I could order it from?

Thanks a lot.
We need less Democrats and Republicans, and more people that think for themselves.
