I saw reading thru these forums that there was a way or something to run the Ti with the Lid closed and having it not go to sleep, is there a link to this at all, is this safe to do aka does the machine overheat at all? I read once too that it actually cools a bit thru the top of the keyboard and speaker grills

anyone have any ideas? thanks

So basically you cannot run it in clamshell mode then without an external keyboard. Am I right. Wasn't there a hack for osX (or is it hacksie or summit?) that could let you do it?

Isn't a hack available as far as I know.
Simplest way is to put it to sleep, close the lid and plug in a Mouse (Pro mouse works), then click. That wakes mine up.

Can I remind people that your not supposed to move the laptop whilst its on (eg. not in sleep/off) - can cause damage to hard drive.

Yep, it's a simple process.

Close the lid, let it go to sleep.
Plug in a display, external mouse and keyboard.
Hit the Space Bar or click your mouse, and it will awake.
