Now, will it have PPC 970, is the question?

I can see that THIS thread is going to get a lot of attention!

No it's not, it's just a rumour and it's getting boring. Can we please keep the rumour threads to a minimum?

It's all complete rubbish anyway. Any half brain can come up with a rumour and circulate it. How's this for one:

"The new 90gig Ipod will feature a 12" screen running on an impressive dual 980 chip. It will have inbuily sattalite television and double as a mobile phone."

There you do, let's see how long it takes Mac Rumours to put this up on their site referenced from a 'credible source' ??

I think as far as the 970 goes you are still looking at rumour and speculation (would be nice but who knows). But as regards the Digitimes article that Compal are producing new 15.4" PB for Apple (and also other 15.4" notebooks for other vendors), I would think this is more in the 'news' category as they are reporting on a reality and one that applies to other suppliers not just Apple. I picked the original news item up from MacWorld UK. I am presuming that sources have been checked and we are talking real news here.

I tend never to presume when it comes to Apple news. When Apple anounce it, then we can talk about it. Until then, it's all myth.

Schuey: We will just have to wait and see. Personally, the Digitimes article is a strong bit of supporting evidence for me that we will see something new soon.

I see also that appleinsider.com has posted something similar on its site and they have a very good track record of getting these things right.

Whatever, with only a few weeks until the developers conference, with senior apple execs stating that we will not be dissapointed I guess this sort of news is all part of the buildup!

Yeh, maybe. We'll see. Could be interesting if true. I think the IPod rumour is far more exciting though
