Hi,

Hopefully someone can help me with this. I need to install Linux (for a school project) on my primary drive. I have already backed up my MacOSX stuff onto an external firewire drive. My question is, when I configure the system to boot off the internal, how do I switch it back to booting off the firewire disk, since I will no longer have access to the "Startup Disk" program in system preferences?

Thanks in advance.

hold the option key right after you push powerbutton. a startup menu will pop up.. then you can select what you want to boot from..

The external drive must be blessed. You should use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone your HD to your external FW drive.
