My tibook (NEVER, NEVER buy a Rev A apple thing) has reached its end so I tried to switch to something else.

I don't need neither the power of G4 (I'm not a graphic people) nor to cook my legs with a burning aluminium portable grill (so I discarded 12" PB)

I took a 900 Mhz ibook and I was very luckey beacuse Apple reduced (only here in Europe) prices on ibook of about 200 Euros just tha day they shipped me...

So I took a 900 Mhz 12" ibook, 40 Gb HD, Combo with 640 Mb RAM and Airport just for the price of a plain ibook.

I had it from a week and I completly satisfied. Battery last forever (from 3 to 3 and 1/2 hours), Quartz Extreme is activated, and G3 900 Mhz is very fast, also in strong compiling.

This is Xbench results:

At last 12" format is very very portable and it looks good (IMHO better than previous translucent).

Ah.. 3 hours on a new iBook battery? That seems low. I think the new iBook batteries at first should give you close to 6 hours. Ar at least mine did. It is down to 3.5 hours after 10 months of use.
