I'm looking for a 40-60 gig 5400 rpm laptop drive but they all seem so expensive!
I'd prefer a Hitachi Travelstar or a Seagate Momentus. Any one know where to find one cheap?

It all depends on what is "too expensive" for you...

We always use and recommend Transinternational.
If they don't have the lowest prices already then they'll beat the lowest price you can give them (a legitimate price).
Plus, they're very nice. We found out about them because a friend of ours, the local Mac Genius at the Apple Store, recommends them. Apparently a lot of the Apple folks use them.

WRONG!
I just called Transintl and they will NOT match a competitors price.

Found the Toshiba HDD2184 60gb 5400rpm w/16megs cache for $224 free ground via pricewatch.
I might take the plunge on that one. I can't believe that drive prices are actually going up! Well hopefully i'll be able to sell my current 60gig Toshiba drive for a decent clip.
