Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy a bag or sleeve for my 12" Albook. I was about to get the Powersleeve by Booq bags and use it with my current bag but then I found the TiBag and it looks sweet. Has anyone used it with a 12"? Does it fit or is the bag way too big? What else do you fit in the bag?

Impressions on the booq sleeve would also be appreciated (I have checked what was already written here)

Thanks,

KStor

Hey, try www.spireusa.com sweet backpack and sleeve (they call them "boots") combinations. The sleeve is free (for now).

Yeah, the spire bags look sweet but they're a bit over my budget. I'm looking to spend about $50, which is what both the tibag and powersleeve cost

www.timbuk2.com has the best bags on the market. I don't have any personal experience with the Boog, but that TiBag is a POS. I have a friend who had one and his fell apart in a month or two.

The TimBuk2 bags are incredibly high quality, and waterproof. They're definitely worth the extra $50 to protect your $2000 computer.

I have the tibag. It's fine, but I prefer to also use a sleeve with it, to protect the pb even more.

I use a WaterField Designs Sleevecase, which they have for all sizes of PB and they have a perfect fit and feel, and they clip into the Bags and Backpacks that these guys make - good products, great service!

Sure, just order it at www.sfbags.com.

Ask Gary for shipping options for your country. Worked perfectly for me here in Switzerland. UK should be no problem, too.

Because I saw the shipping cost is $23 (almost 70% of the price!) I want to see if there are any retailer in UK or HK.

How much does the shipping cost you? and how lond does it take to arrive after you order??

Thanks (sorry about my grammer )

I ordered my Sleevecase shipped to the UK. Once you take into account the exchange rate it works out quite well.

Think of it this way- the equivalent sleeve available in the UK works out about the same price as ordering from Waterfield with shipping. And is nicer too.
Sizzling like an isotope.

What about the Tibag?

VMarks, you mentioned that you used a sleeve too. Is the bag too big for the 12"? Would you recommend it anyway?

Ask Gary for a cheaper (and slower) shipping method. We went for a $16 one and the bag arrived in about 7-10 days.

Here is another vote for the Sleevecase. Get the optional D-rings and it is both sleeve and a case when you attach a shoulder strap. The build and service are so good that I think that they don't charge enough for their products.

Exactly, get the D-rings/strap and additional flap. Keeps the PB protected when you are outside with the SleeveCase as case.

I have the brenthaven mobility 1 for my 12" PB (I think you can get it from the apple store). It is far and away the best PB bag I have ever had--provides some additional protection in case you drop the bad as well as many additional pockets for ipod, DVDs, power supply, papers, etc.

Many thanks to our Swiss friend for mentioning the optional flap; I had forgotten about it...

When I ordered my SleeveCase I didn't get the shoulder strap because I have extras from my photo gear. But a strap was sent by mistake, and when I contacted the company about returning it they told me to enjoy it, free of charge.

BTW, it is a high quality strap/pad combo, in keeping with the excellent quality of their products.

I use the tibag. If I'm not putting magazines in it, I use a sleeve. yes, it's a little roomy, but it's convenient.

my other bag is an acmemade.com one.

in fact, I could just put it in the acmemade and then put that in the tibag.

tibag gets my vote.
