My G4 PB 400 started locking up when I wake it from sleep mode. I have repaired permissions, zapped the pram, checked the hardware with disk first aid. reseated the ram, pressed the reset button and nothing has fixed the problem. After doing a search on this site and the Apple site, I found a few other threads on this subject which suggest the problem might be the case contacting the logic board or a ribbon cable. so I took the PB completely apart and I didn't find any areas that appeared to be making contact and all the ribbon cables appear to be fine. Also, sometimes after the restart, the display is black and requires another restart for it to boot correctly. Anyone have any ideas? I could use some help here. Thanks, Byron

I did, at one point, have this problem with my TiBook, but it disappeared when I upgraded to 10.2.6. Are you running 10.2.6?

I installed 10.2.6 right after the problem first appeared and it didn't help. I'm still searching for a solution. Thanks

Hmm. Does it happen 100% of the time no matter what software you're running or does it only happen occasionally?

It freezes every time I put it to sleep and it stays asleep more than 5-10 minutes. After restart the screen is black about 50% of the time. A 2cd restart usually gets the screen to light up. The apps that are running doesn't seem to make a difference as I have tried putting it to sleep with just the just the system running and it still locked up. Thanks, Byron

I'm having a little trouble understanding your English. Sorry I don't have an answer for you. Perhaps someone else does.
