I have a 667 15" PB, and was wondering which battery I needed. I have seen both M8244G/A and M8244G/B. Are these basically the same thing, maybe just a new version?

I just don't want to buy one and have it not work.

All TiBook batteries are compatible with all models of TiBook--and newer models have more capacity, so they will last longer on your machine.

The PowerBook G4 (DVI) and (Gigabit Ethernet) share the same battery. The Apple part number of that battery is 661-2561.

You may use the above part # and call AppleCare to order a replacement. I just did that for ordering an clamshell iBook's battery. They shipped it with AirBorne next-day and asked me to send the broken battery back to Apple.
