Hi,
I placed an order with these guys for a reconditioned PB 17".
Any feedback on their reliability, and what reconditioned means, exactly, in this case (the PB can't be that old)?

Maybe you should've asked this BEFORE buying?

Don't know about MacWarehouse specifically...
Reconditioned is (in my experience) just another word for refurbished.
It's most likely a machine that someone bought and returned for some reason... the machine gets sent back to Apple to be assured of "like new" condition, and resold at a discount.
Check with MacWarehouse, but usually these machines include the same 1 year warranty as new Apple product.
The only thing wrong w/ refurbs is that you usually can't return them unless they're defective, and you run the risk of a few dead pixels or some such that might not get covered under warranty.

This is just a personal opinion but I would NEVER purchase anything from Mac Warehouse again! EVER. PERIOD. I could list the myriad of problems experienced but I would spend the rest of the day writing. Just be wary and check the small print that they provide. Be VERY carefull!

I don't know about this specifically, but you do have to be careful about refurbished/reconditioned/etc etc machines, since some of them have just been cleaned up a bit by the company selling them, and not by Apple. Which means that you don't get Apple's warranty.

That's why I advised him to as them
Personally I would've checked the warranty situation before ordering....
