It's been a while since Apple began charging for replacing missing rubber feet (something they did for free for a long time)

So, I've heard they've been charging alot for feet, whatever the price is for the foot and inflated shipping. What's Apple Charging?

Of course, since Apple Stores have been around they've replaced feet on the spot. Do they still do that? When's the last time anyone actually got that done?

(I'd dig through old threads, but lots of them might have old info)

I had a foot replaced at the Palo Alto store on Tuesday evening. No charge.

However, I've had to check back at the store for three or four weeks before they had any available.

Then I guess the charging for feet is only over the phone. (Prices anyone?)

I had a scare today where I coudln't find one of them. I wonder what would happen if I call them and tell them that the foot is not staying on?

What would they say? Would they reccommend putting on a new foot? or doing something with the old foot?

Right now I lightly dipped the edges of my latest lost and found foot with a bit of elmers glue. Not enough to clog up the screwhead, but hopefully enough to make it stay on a bit longer.

Yeah, if you head to an Apple Store they usually just have a bag of them and will give you one (or more) for free. Last time I had one fall off the genius gave me a set of four.
