i just noticed this why trying to use iChat AV...

when the modem makes a connection the internal mic is disabled (i can tell by watching the input tab in the sound pref pane). i can re-enable the mic by switching the input to Zoomed Video and then back to Internal Mic, but then i get a horrible screeching feedback.

anyone have any ideas. dying to try out the iChat AV thing.

sorry to nag, but...

anyone else see this happening? can anyone reproduce it?

i'm away from home for the summer (which is why i'm on dial up) and it'd be great to talk to friends at home for free.
