Is it in the Customer serial number? Mine says UV3253MS-xxx-xxxx, so I'm guessing it was made March 25, 2003. I'm just curious to know.

I'm not sure how to tell, but given that my PB12 has a serial number of UV31701G-xxx-xxxx, I think it's safe to assume that if it's the date, neither of us know how to read it.

What I heard is..
the first number is the year.. in your case 2003
the second and third numbers are the weeks of that year... in you case week of June 15 - 21.

The birthdate is kept someplace in PRAM. Long ago I had some shareware that would display the contents of PRAM.

I just did a quick check and found PRAM Inspector available from VersionTracker. It is only available for OS 9. I drew a blank on OS X software.
Happy owner of a new 15" Al PB.
