I was wondering if there were any guides with instruction or pictures describing how to change the HD in a 12" PowerBook G4.
I'll be getting the 7200rpm Hitachi-IBM one soon and just wanna go over on how to crack it open and install it.
Many Thanks
Ash

I could send you it. It's more of a pain in the but then the iBooks are. PM me if you want it.

I would strongly advise against installing such a drive in a 12" PowerBook! The faster spinning drives generate more heat and that's the last thing you need to subject your PB to. Plus, you'll void your warranty.

I saw some pics about a HD exchange on a 17" PB a while back... if the 12" is anything like it's big cousin, it will be a real hassle, and pretty technical.
I would recommend getting in a pro, and keeping the warranty intact!
