Hi,

Lately I encounter a problem whenever I have to reboot my iBook (600mhz, OS X.2.6)!

The boot process is fine in the grey screen, then as soon as it is ready to switch to the blue background, the color of the LCD goes crazy! Most of the time it ends up in white but sometimes it is in weird purple color!

I reset PRAM, and reset NVRAM (open firmware, reset-nvram and then reset-all), but it doesn't go away.

Suspecting that it is hardware problem, I tried booting from OS9 in another partition, it starts up fine and they are all functional!

when I tried to boot from single user mode, it seems like somewhere around "loading window server" is where the white light come up!! I reinstalled the OS.. but it does not cure the whole thing! I can boot fine sometimes but not always!!

Any idea??? My dissertation is in this thing...
