Does anyone use one of those 3rd party power supplies that plugs into the cig lighter in the car?

I am interested in experiences/advice.

The AC adapter with the PB has 24V/45W output. Some of the car adapters I looked at in the electronic store had a rechargable battery with a receptical and appeared to have more than enough output.

Could one of these damage or void the warranty on the PB?

Thanks

If you buy and 12 volt dc inverter to 110 AC about $20 you can run your PB and charge battery as well as extermal printer, CDR etc

No worrys and it is cheap and safe

Thanks

I suggest you go to a Mac store. I purchased an adapter that works for the Ti and it has a cigarrete plug. The Mac geniouses should be able to help you.

I really like my iGo Juice (see here), and would definitely recommend it. I alternate using it between my TiBook and my work-provided Dell laptop.

I will second the recommendation for the iGo Juice. I use mine at home and on the road travelling for work and it is GREAT! It evens seems to make the pb run cooler. If you have a second charger compare it to the one that comes with the 12" pb you will see the difference. The charger that comes with the 12" is a 45w where as the Juice is a 70w and the Apple charger you buy is a 65w. I have used the 65w that came with a friends 17" and it seems to keep the 12" cooler also.
