hello! i know it is possible to connect/transfer files from mac-to-mac with a firewire cable, but is it possible to do so with usb? it would make sense to me that it would be possible, just haven't heard of it being done; nor do i have an idea about how to go about it. thanks!!

If it's possible, I've never heard of how. I think it's only with Firewire.

Even if it is possible with USB, it would be prohibitively slow.

Why not just use a cross-over network cable, which can be obtained from many computer and electronics stores? It would probably be much easier
