Hey all,

I'm debating selling my TiBook 667 DVI (768 Ram, 30 GB HD, PERFECT CONDITION, etc) in order to guy a G5 instead. I may or may not buy an ibook later to complement the system for mobile needs, but I really need more power to run Painter 8 on large files and of course, that good ol' power vacuum of a program- Photoshop 7.

I've recently read that ebay'ers are straying from Powerbook purchases because of fraud, so I'm trying to learn of alternate routes that might yield a) a better price and b) a safer transaction?

Any and all suggestions/help you can give is appreciated, and last of all these questions...how much is my baby worth right now? I'm thinking $1400, but have seen them for both more and less in various places?

Again thanks,

Pixel Pete out (of my mind for selling my TiBook?)

I have the same book and have been considering the same move... but aren't you worried about Rev1 blues?
Yose.
Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

This time Apple have had more than enough time to get the G5 right first time... 2 years in the making?

I have ordered a Dual G5 already, and am pretty sure they will get this Rev A right... too much is riding on it.

Peace,

Marc

I'd say eBay without a doubt; sold my 17" PB there without any issues and fetched a pretty penny for it.

Woah. Try the forums first, I wouldn't use eBay unless my life depended on it.

Ebay is fine as long as you don't mind weeding out the muppets and follow some simple safety precautions. Also, no offence intended here, the 667 is quite an old machine and unlikely to attract all that much unwanted attention from the crooks. They tend to go for the latest hardware.

I've sold all my old kit on ebay with no trouble at all.
