Hello,

I should write a review of this little machine. I worked in LA and Africa for the BBC on a documentary and did the entire thing on the 12". Don't let anyone tell you it can't be be done. Everything from documentary editing to video compositing to 3d animation to dvd authoring....all on this little machine. Totally awesome....

Anyway, I just discovered that in my travels, one of the small rubber "fett" on my pb is missing. anyone know what to do about this? will apple take care of it?

thanx for your help.

I called Apple about one of my missing "foot" on my 12" Powerbook and they said I would have to return it to them for repair. I said NO WAY that I was sending back my laptop and run the risk on something else happening to it while it was shipped to them. I have chosen to just live with the missing foot rather than send the laptop back to Apple.

I have lost all 4 feet on my 12" powerbook. What sucks is that the shell now sits directly on my desk, and it's scratching up from dust and crumbly stuff beneath.

Apple refused to do anything except offer me the 200-or-so-dollar standard repair (cosmetic damage is not covered under warranty). You can get rubber feet via resellers, but they're expensive ($9 or so for 5 feet), and you can only get the feet for the 15" tiBook, which are NOT the same.

So, just get yourself some nice little silicone feet for a couple of cents apiece and stick'em under there.
