As of this morning, my 667 DVI PowerBook is rendered useless (for the time being)...here is the story and if you know any workarounds or ideas to get it back, please let me know.
Last night, I installed a fresh 10.2.6 OS on an external FW drive. Upon booting up on that drive and using it for a few hours I put the machine asleep before I physically went to sleep. Anyway, when I tried to "awake" the TiBook this morning, I get nothing...no power, the bottom was cold (as if nothing had been running for many hours), the FW drive was up and running however and I have tried turning off the FW drive and booting it up manually from the internal drive, BUT the machine is getting no power, nothing...
Also, for what it's worth...my power adapter is just fine (tested in another machine) and plus the PB still has a "FULL" battery indication.
Any clue??
Before this, I can honestly say NOTHING..and I mean NOTHING has happened to this machine in the past.
Very odd.

Try resetting the PMU (search Apple Knowledgebase to find out how to do this for your model of PB). Make sure the external drive is disconnected.
I've had problems in the past when putting my computer to sleep while my external FW drive was mounted. It usually caused a system crash when I tried to wake it up. Now, if the external drive was also the startup drive, sleeping the system sounds like a recipe for disaster. That being said, though, it shouldn't have damaged your PB.

I'll try that first thing when I get home this evening.
Thanks.

Great, thanks alot. Looks simple enough...if this fixes it, I'll be one happy clam.

Yes, I just got back from doing that and voila, works like a glove now. Thanks so much for the suggestion, I can sit back and relax a little better now.
