I have a 17" powerbook and am unable to enable the root user. I go into Netinfo manager, authenticate but enable root user is still greyed out. I was able to enable the root on my previous Ti powerbook. Is there something I am missing? Do I need to install the developers tools to be able to enable the root? Thanks in advance for the help.

Assuming you are logged in as Admin, it should not be a problem...

I would post this in the OS X or Unix forums, and I am sure someone will be able to sort it out...

Yup I'm logged in as an Admin, but no go on root. I'll try the OSX forum thanks.
