Hi- I have a new problem with my iBook (I am runnung OS 10.2.6 and have a clamshell/300 MHz processor/544MB memory).
When I put a disk in the Cd-ROM drive that was burned with something like iTunes or Toast, the drive spins forever (makes noises like R2D2) and either refuses to load the contents or takes forever. If i put in a commercially burned disk, all seems well. This is new and has not happened before. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.
Rick

My 12" 800 picks discs at random to NOT PLAY. Really pisses me off-

The problem eludes me. Partially broken? My first 800 was DOA. I would hate to think that this one has a problem so I just deal with it-

Optimum or Maxell. They play fine on the G4 and B&W G3 desktop
