Under 10.2.4 through 10.2.6 I had at least 3 hours of battery time. I then installed Panther and still had 3 hours of battery time. I formatted my HD to get rid of Panther because I didn't support Bluetooth, and now I only get 1.5 hours or 2 hours if I'm lucky. I've reset the PMU and drained my batteries until my computer shutdown, and recharged while the computer was off, and still I can't get back to 3 hours. Whats up with that! I've been keeping the dimmness low and the CPU using low power. Any thoughts? Could Panther Final fix it?

As a last resort, you could try resetting the NVRAM. Boot into Open Firmware (holding down Command-Option-O-F while powering up the machine) and type:

reset-nvram<enter>
reset-all<enter>
bye<enter>

dont tell them u used panther though, just
say you have shortbatterylife
