I was going to post pics, but my cable modem was turned off because my Bill was sent to the wrong address, and Comcast said it was my fault, but after 2 hours they realized they messed up. That said I will post pics this weekend, but I am sure you guys know what it looks like anyway. On with the review!!!
Setup:
Out of box experience is perfect. This is my second Mac, and the packaging is top notch. The machine was protected from the elements, and once I opened the actual box everything was packed neatly and wrapped accordingly. Gotta love the "Designed in California" statement, or something like that.
Heat, Wobble, and Pixel:
People have had heat problems or be concerned with them. I was nervous to get the 12" because of some of the heat issues I heard about. But after 48 hours I conclude this is not a problem for all 12" PB's as mine is fine. Here are some tests: Doing the first software updates while power adapter was plugged in got this machine at its hottest point since I have had it, but it wasn't burning (thank god lol). But even when it is plugged it it gets noticeably warmer on the left side, but its not bad, or annoying. In fact come winter I will love it, as its the right amount of warm to feel comfortable I think lol.
When the machine is unplugged the left side runs cooler, in fact I wouldn't say there is a heat issue at all. I moved 33 gigs of Data to the machine, and during that time the machine was cooler than when I ran software updates. So my feeling is that if you have it plugged in, thats when it gets warm, while when its running off battery its not as warm. I have a theory too, that if you have more RAM it stays cooler as it will not hit the HD as much for extra memory, like a swap file. But I may be wrong, thats only a theory. I also ripped a CD last night while plugged in, again didn't get warmer than what I have already discussed. Overall no heat complaints from me, it gets warm like people say but not bad.
As for dead pixels, I had none. No wobble either, but I am being careful not to slide it on surfaces as to loose the rubber feat.
Performance:
Performance on this machine is awesome. I went from a 17" iMac screen to this 12" and though its smaller, it seems to be bigger than I thought. So the downgrade in size isn't bad at all. I tend to have more windows overlapping, but once Panther comes out with Expose this problem will be fixed, and having a smaller screen space will be less of a issue for some people.
The sound on the machine is the best for a laptop I have ever heard. That third speaker makes a difference, and the sound is much cleaner and has a fuller feel to it. My sisters ibook speakers suck, and my moms gateway laptops speakers... well you get the idea lol.
I have been using the machine to surf the web, email, listen to music, type normally at the same time. Meaning I have a lot of apps open, and its very responsive. Some people will mention lack of L3 cache, but I do not do anything graphic intensive, and having the G4 chip still gives me AltiVec, which is missing in the iBooks I believe, a factor why I choose the PB.
Final Thoughts:
This laptop is awesome, I am glad I bought it. If apple updates their machines tomorrow I could care less. If you have been on the fence on whether to get one or not, definitely go look at it first, if you like it buy it. I am thrilled I finally bit the bullet, waiting for the supposed 1gigahertz model might be for some, but I like having a product out now, and I don't think not having a extra 133mhz is going to affect my life. I will post pics in a few days when those Comcast *******s turn my cable modem back on. Till then I hope this review helps some people if they were trying to decide on a 12" PB. Please ask any questions I didn't go over. I have the machine with me at work so I should be able to give some insight. Thanks to everyone who helped me with my questions to during the past month.

Ah, but can you stand having the white next to the Al when they are parked? Doesn't the plastic iMac seem a little cheesy all of a sudden? And isn't the 12" the most solid laptop you have ever experienced?

I just want to say that I agree with everything everyone has said so far. I just got a 12" a few days ago and this is the most amazing machine I have ever owned. All that power in a case that I can almost fit in my back pocket!

Well I am guessing this is more a aesthetics (sp?) point of view. But when I got my 12" PB I moved the 17" iMac to the basement. Sidenote: I have a finished basement, its not a cement room, full of bugs and poor lighting lol. Its now going to be the guest computer, and my familys computer. My parents are both windows users *cough* not for long *cough cough*. So I am going to show my mom iPhoto and my dad just ordered a 10 gig iPod. Plus I will need to use the Super Drive every now and then. But yes the finish of the 12" PB has a more professional look to it, than white plastic, but I still like how the iMac looks. I have had the 12" for a few days and I still love this thing, its the best computer I have ever used. Having a laptop just makes life easier.

Schweet!!! But... I was actually skeptical about all the posts stating that the rubber feet fall off after a few weeks of use... Mine started falling off (luckily here at home and not anywhere else) a few weeks ago. No biggie though! I figure I'll get some super glue. Otherwise, me 12" PB is da bomb, and it know no limit!
