I've got one of these-

- and am thinking of connecting to one of these:

The Ti-book not the astrophysicist or even his attractive pussy

with the aid of this inexpensive ADC-DVI adapter.

Question is to those who know - is it worth it ?

Well, you have the TiBook...

You have the display...

Why not? You will get more screen to play around with, and it will not be much more expensive. I say go for it!

Hang on, which has the ADC, your TiBook or your display? If it's your TiBook, sure, if it's your display, you'll need one of those expensive boxes which takes power, DVI and USB and shoves it into the single cord.

Isn't that style of Cinema Display the kind with both ADC and VGA inputs? I seem to remember seeing them on eBay advertised that way (and I thought about getting one when I had my 12" PB).

hey Angus_D, you made rethink a little - If I have a 15' LCD studio display
(early 2000 model) which adapter do I need ?

expensive option:
DVI to ADC adaptor: allows ADC-equipped Apple flat-panel displays
to work with PowerBook and Power Mac computers that have a DVI port.

Inexpensive option : ADC to DVI adaptor: allows DVI-equipped
Apple flat-panel displays to work
with Power Mac computers that have an ADC port.

Hang on, aren't all Powerbooks DVI? And isn't that display from before ADC (Or whatever has USB and power)? Wouldn't it be as simple as just using a plain old cable like the one he showed above?

Oh, and -

It's the original 15" Studio Display, this is from LONG before ADC. It has DVI and VGA. You don't need a DVI to ADC, you just need a DVI to DVI cable (PowerBooks have DVI not ADC)
