This is my case. I bought a new TiBook butI was not able to apply for the Education discount($200) because of my excitement(just switched). Am I still qualified to request it if it is not my name that appears on the invoice?

Call Apple and ask.

I kinda doubt it - but yes, call and ask

either that, or go to a local Apple Store and ask the manager (they're pretty cool at most of those stores)

If not, call Apple Customer Service (but the store people are usually nicer)
