Recharging Batteries...?

I have a newbie question...

I tried both the search and the apple website and I did not find a definitive answer...

what is the proper/best way to lengthen the overall life of the battery in my 12" PB?...

I understand that Lith-Ion batteries are not 'that' affected by the memory effect, so is the correct answer in terms of recharging my battery is to let it drain fully before again fully recharging it?...

when I am told to 'fully drain' the battery, does that mean, I should use as much available power and get it as close to "0 minutes remaining" before I plug it in?....

how much or what exactly is this level...?

I understand that at all times this is not possible, and I understand that no battery last forever, so how/what actions should I take to get MAXIMUM life of my battery when considering the longterm....?

lates...

PS: is this a dumb question? i.e. am I worrying to much about nothing..?

It's not a dumb question at all; in fact, it's intelligent to care about your PowerBook's battery! Here's the step-by-step guide to doing "calibration" on your battery directly from Apple:
