excuse me if i'm not up to date on where steve jobs will be every day, i've only been on the lightside for a few years. where is it where everyone is saying the new pb will be annnounced. i heard paris. is jobs going to be making a keynote? and where does everyone find out on these conventions where new apple products might be announced.
i'm going to be selling my ibook and all it's extras very soon and would like to get a new pb 12 inch. but i want to make sure i don't buy one right before a new one is announced.

In all honesty, I wouldn't buy a 12" PB now if I could help it. They've been out since (well, unveiled since Jan. 2003) early '03 and so a revision is due anytime really. If you can wait 1-2 months, do so, you'll be very glad you did to get a revised machine.

*deep breath*
atomico37, no one knows anything about Apple future releases, well, more to the point, no one who is willing to tell...
If you have a look at some of the other threads on 'when will XXX be released' you will see there are no definitive answers out there...
Needless to say, experience would say it would be wise not buy a few months before a Macworld, WWDC, or Seybold...
Peace,
Marc

Apple is moving away from having their product release schedules dictated by external forces, i.e. being expected to "please the crowd" every 6 months at Macworlds. They've taken to scheduling their own events to release things when it makes sense for them, rather then the rest of the world.

I know, but I guess you can never be too careful...
Although they are moving away from the 6 month cycles, there have still been at least some announcements at Macworlds and WWDCs in the past year or so...
