Does warcraft 3 play better on the 17 or the 15? I've heard that it plays better currently on the 15, but I'm not sure. Can someone help?

I'd imagine this could go in the "Mac Games" Forum, however it should play about equally on both machines (of course, the TiBook must be a 1Ghz to be equal, if it's the 867Mhz version, then the 17" PB would be faster). The only differences between the 1Ghz TiBook & 17" PB is the TiBook has a slightly slower front-side-bus speed as well as slower RAM, but typically the graphics card in the TiBook outperforms the GeForce 440 Go in the 17" PB, so it all equals out.

The 12" is best... j/k

Although it does play pretty well.

I saw it running on a 1GHz TiBook not too long ago and it was running very well at what looked to be native res, haven't seen it on the 17 though.

I can vouch...

Runs GREAT @ native res on my TiSD... even in multiplayer. All details are at High except shadows, which I turn down to medium to preserve the smoothness in the more intense multiplayer.

I've been running both Warcraft 3 and the Frozen Throne expansion on my 12" PB with max config and even on the lowest settings there seem to be a big of a lag moving the mouse cursor, producing units and controlling units. I would expect it to run relatively smoothly. But compared to my old desktop with P3-800mhz, 512MB and onboard graphics (sharing memory), the performance on my powerbook blows.

Is there some settings I am overlooking or is that what I am stuck with?

Well if you got it on high settings thats why hehe. Warcraft 3 should run fine on your 12 otherwise. Just tone down the settings. I am running JKII on a iMac 600MHZ with np what so ever. The grafics look fine even while toned down a bit. Just turned of shadows and stuff like that. No lag at all in multiplayer. Sometimes in SP when their are a lot of units its to much for it but other than that plays well. So I find it hard to believe that WCIII runs like that on the 12.
