I've got a TiBook that I want to upgrade from a combodrive to a superdrive, specifically for iDVD. I've been looking at OWC's Superdrive upgrade, and since I'm not in the US, buying the drive only and doing a self-install is the only option as I'm not going to send my Powerbook overseas.

Has anyone else upgraded their PB to OWC's superdrive? What's the drive model, firmware version, and can it be flashed to be region free?
