I saw somewhere, what I thought was called Ti Book armor. It was a thin, see through plastic cover you could place over vulnerable paint areas on the TiBook.

Damn me if I can't find the link now.
Does anyone know of what I'm talking about?

3M sells a variety of films you can use for protecting surfaces.. poke around their web site or an authorized distributor. I guarantee it'll be cheaper than something Tibook-branded, and likely higher quality.

In the automotive world, there is an aftermarket transparent film placed on the front of cars to protect against rock dings. You could try that.

No doubt, but there was something already pre cut. I used to see the link everywhere, and now I can't find it.

Argh.

Which Powerbook is this for? I ask this because certain models were afflicted with horrible, blistering, paint that would fall off by itself. I could only imagine what would happen when one tried to remove an adhesive film attached to that defective paint.
